About the Farm
Established in 1879, the farm has supported six generations of the Miller Family and we are now Prince George's County's largest vegetable producer.

Our Story
In 1879, our ancestors purchased the farm on Piscataway Rd. that we now know today as Miller Farms. Throughout the years, the farm has evolved into a multigenerational family business. In the early years, we grew tobacco for many decades. Tobacco was the cash crop at the time for Southern Maryland and the surrounding areas. After demand for tobacco began to decrease in the mid-1900's, we began transitioning into growing a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables. We started focusing on direct to consumer through pick your own produce and built a small roadside market in the 1970's, offering fresh homegrown produce to the residents of Clinton, MD and surrounding communities. We received a tremendous amount of support from our customers and quickly outgrew the small produce stand. In the early 1980's we constructed a larger farm market, which we are still operating out of today. In 2000, we built our first greenhouse and diversified into growing flowers. In 2007, we added a bakery at our produce market offering homemade ice cream, doughnuts, and many more delicious baked goods. From our early roots of growing tobacco to our Fall Festival and everything in between, our farm has become a pillar in the Clinton community.

Growing Practices
At our farm, we take pride in growing our fresh produce using an Integrated Pest Management (IPM) strategy that emphasizes sustainability and environmental responsibility. This approach is a combination of conventional and organic farming methods. We carefully monitor our crops for signs of pest activity and employ a variety of control measures, only using treatments when absolutely necessary. This balanced strategy not only protects our crops but also promotes soil health and biodiversity, ensuring that every fruit and vegetable you receive is grown in a way that supports a healthier ecosystem.
